Websites
Websites are often the first point of contact with our future customer or user: for this reason, they need to be understandable and accessible.
I have full knowledge of the technologies involved when developing a website (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.), and this allows me to fully understand its localization needs. I have also worked with content managers (CMS) such as Wordpress.
During the localization process, it is important to test the actual version of the website once the translation has been applied, in order to make changes and further improve it. Possible visual assets, such as images or icons, must also be localized.
Finally, it is important to maintain the intent of the original text, but at the same time make it easy to understand for the user of the target language. I have worked with these premises on the different websites I have localized, such as Weblate, itch.io or other smaller ones such as NyaaPantsu. You may look at them in detail in the projects portfolio.
